Brisbane: Scaling Up for Success

Default Author • Mar 30, 2003

Talenza turns three this year and we’re also celebrating six months in our Brisbane office. Establishing a presence here has been both exciting and cha

llenging, and a lot has happened since we opened in August 2019.

We have come so far in such a short time, and are already setting our sights on the next target as we continue our journey to become the leading tech recruitment agency in the region.

A Strategic Approach

It was a deliberate decision to “start small”. Our priority has been to consolidate relationships with existing clients, showing them that we are on the ground with them. We aim to build genuine partnerships: our recruiters take the time to understand clients’ needs and offer advice and support, as well as high-quality people who match their requirements.

And it’s working! Taking it slowly has allowed us to deliver on our promises, explore the Brisbane market from the inside and build our brand. We’ve won over both clients and candidates with our approach and our business is gaining momentum.

Journey Highlights

There has been plenty of progress to celebrate in the last six months. We currently have more than 25 contractors working in the region and have also signed up four major clients who are viewed as household names in Queensland. I hired another person shortly after opening the office, and soon we’ll be a team of four. These are wins that will strengthen our business presence and provide us with a solid platform for growth. It’s a great time to be involved with a brand that is gaining visibility and recognition.

Along the way, we’ve also enjoyed getting involved with the wider community and sponsoring major events, including the Project Management Institute (PMI) Queensland Chapter 20thBirthday Celebration and the Suncorp Stadium Charity Golf Day.

Growing a Great Team

Without good people, you can’t do good business. The positive impact we have made in Brisbane is testimony to our team. They are all professionals with extensive experience in recruitment, a commitment to our values and a desire to work in the industry long term. Our people have a hunger for doing well and for delivering excellent service to our clients. I’ll admit that we work hard but we’re proud of this – and the rewards are great.

As we scale up the team in the Brisbane office, we are committed to becoming an employer of choice, ensuring all new hires are given every opportunity to prosper within the business and make their mark. I’m excited about the prospects for future growth in the region and look forward to seeing our team thrive.

If you are a values-driven and commercially-minded recruiter with the drive to succeed in the Brisbane market, get in touch with us today to discuss how you can be part of the next stage of our journey. We are offering a generous relocation and support package for recruiters who are interested in moving to Brisbane, to take the hassle out of relocating and ensure you’re set up for success.
