Technology Regulation Manager

The Role

This role sits within the Technology business unit and will lead the Technology Regulation activities for gaming technology and be the gaming services Technology expert for regulatory and compliance, protecting gaming servicesS and its customers through comprehensive risk management and diligence to processes and regulations.

You are a Senior Technology Leader, reporting to the General Manager Technology Gaming Services, partnering closely with the Head of Tech Regulation and Compliance in Technology Performance, Regulation and Governance to ensure cohesiveness across the regulatory landscape and form a community of technology regulation compliance across the regulatory functions.

You will lead exploration to ensure gaming services technology maintains their technology regulatory compliance framework and ensure technology regulatory obligations are met in all relevant jurisdictions in relation to technology systems and ensure relevant approvals to satisfy commercial timeframes.

The Responsibilities

• Lead the gaming services technology regulatory compliance framework aligned to current regulations and plan for a changing landscape, referencing the expansive digital assets they operate.
• Provide transparency and visibility of Technology's performance across Technology regulation and compliance inclusive of impact assessment, risk and issue management, funding, change management and business readiness
• Ensure the applications, platforms, products, and technology solutions meet security and risk compliance aligned to the standards outlined by the Technology Security group.
• Assist with implementation of additional Technology controls in accordance with standards such as COBIT or ISO 27001
• Support the engagement of internal and external stakeholders including all relevant State regulatory bodies and overseas regulators.
• Own the accountability to representative for gaming services technology group with all regulatory bodies and build relevant relationships.
• Establish a change process for each jurisdiction that satisfies the requirements of relevant state legislation, regulation, licence conditions and rules.
• Primary contact for all technology audit activity for internal, regulatory, and external and be responsible for administering and reporting the audit findings for gaming services

The Requirements

• Detailed knowledge of highly regulated industries (gambling and entertainment industries nice to have but similarly regulated industries will be considered)
• 7+ years' experience in large-scale ICT environments.
• 3 years' experience working with Regulators and legal teams, and an appreciation of their ways of working, communications, and expectations
• Astute at developing business aligned IT strategies, frameworks, and roadmaps (and communicating these)
• Familiar and Experience in lean, and other best (and next) practice.
• Broad understanding of the regulator requirements and operating environment as they apply to Technology organisation as a whole.
• Good understanding of regulatory requirements for the specific Product or Platform
• Detailed understanding of relevant Product & Platform changes being planned and implemented in Lotteries.
• Experience with compliance assessments against industry or regulatory frameworks such as, PCI DSS, ISO27001, PCI DSS, NIST, Privacy, Telecommunication and Gaming specific regulations.
• Experience working with a variety of supplier / resource models, including matrix, managed services, and multiple suppliers.
• An extensive understanding of the Information and Technology industry, as well as technology trends and next practice.
• Proven experience in developing and maintaining strong relationships across business and technology teams.
• Experience in working in a competitive, fast paced industry.
