System Engineer

Our client has engaged Talenza to find several System Engineers for upcoming projects. Your new role will allow you to work on technical projects in an enterprise Agile environment.

Responsibilities:

• Work within a team to ensure the highest level of systems and infrastructure availability.
• Use your experience with source control tools such as git to maintain code and configuration whilst utilising continuous integration tools including Jenkins and pipelines as code
• Plan and implement system automation for workflow efficiency including script testing using TDD.
• Automating System Maintenance and deployments - using tooling such as Ansible
• Oversees the development of customised software and hardware requirements
• Support Java Web Applications and webservices and implement warranty & support activities.

Skillset Required:

• Tertiary Qualification in Information Technology and/or Business or equivalent industry experience Desired
• Experience with both Agile & Prince2 Projects
• 3+ years of systems engineering experience
• Knowledge and familiarity with DevOps
• Cloud (AWS) experience highly advantageous
• Previous experience in a large enterprise or ASX organisation ideal
• Proven delivery track record and references
• Experience in working with geographically distributed teams
