SQL Business Data Analyst Contract

SQL Business Data Analyst - 6 month conract - Sydney

THE ROLE

Your key responsibilities will include:
* Highly developed SQL skills and experience with MS SQL
* Experience working with large, complex data sets
* Proven written communication skills and the ability to translate data analytics into business insights
* Proven ability to think creatively and problem solve (i.e. identify the data and analytical methods required to provide the desired business insights)
* Ensuring the quality of the in-house developed code
* Testing the functionality, processing, logic, input/output and other aspects of the code
* Working with other analysts and developers to communicate any discovered defects
* Involvement in Agile/Scrum processes and techniques
* Quality assurance over other testing to ensure it fully meets the testing on all requirements

THE PERSON

* Financial Services experience mandatory
* Proven manual testing experience
* Very strong SQL & Developer tools experience
* Good analytical skills and an inquisitive mind
* The ability to interact comfortably and confidently with the analytics and development team
* Comfortable working in an Agile environment, adopting a consultative and cooperative approach to your work
* Have proven record of ability to negotiate resolutions to complex issues
* Excellent and analytical problem-solving skills, with a proven ability to identify, define and prioritise business needs/problems/issues, then define/develop/influence feasible solutions
* Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects, perform under pressure, and adhere to strict deadlines
