Software Engineer

Talenza have been engaged by one of Australia's largest banks to find experienced Software Engineers to work within the Financial Markets space.

The Role

The Software Engineer will work collaboratively across the Client Lifecycle Management agile team helping to build a modern CLM through digitizing the customer journey. Our client have a fun collaborative team. The team is responsible for the technology that supports the client on-boarding, maintenance and review process for all of banks institutional clients and they have a clear vision to transform how this is done through digitizing the customer journey. They are also transforming the way they work, to build high performing scrum teams that support their product vision. They are looking for Software Engineers that have competencies in all aspects of engineering, including testing/QA, back-end development, integration, SQL and DevOps. Your passion for technology innovation will allow you to harness emerging technology trends and to deliver solutions to their clients in an effective and agile manner.

Your skills and experience:

• 5+ year's Java experience
• Experience in cloud based development such as AWS
• Worked with RDS including MySQL and Postgres
• Experience in microservice architecture
• RESTful APIs Integration
• Scripting experience such as Bash or Python
• Continuous deployment delivery (CI/CD)
• Good understanding of data concepts, design patterns and algorithms, and
• Embrace the breadth of engineering competencies, including DevOps and testing

Bonus experience:

• Working with any of the following technologies including Hadoop, Spark, Elastic Search, Docker/Kubernetes
• Working with JBoss, IIS or other web servers
• Understanding of messaging queues and pub/sub model
• Domain knowledge of counterparty data, and supporting KYC and AML regulatory domains
• Experience with data migration
