Our client the NSW Department of Education are hiring for a Service Support Officer to perform project support activities to contribute to the progression and delivery of a range of projects in line with set objectives. In this role you will join a newly established Schools and Vendor engagement team, where you will support a vendor panel of suppliers that provide software solutions for use by schools.


Role Title: Service Support Officer

Start Date: ASAP

End Date: 6 Months with a chance of extension.

Pay: $550-$650 + Super p.d.

Location: Eveleigh/WFH Hybrid

Description:
Key accountabilities:

  • Provide a range of project management and support services, including preparation of reports and briefs, coordinating resources, maintaining project documentation and implementing and monitoring project plans, to ensure project outcomes are achieved on time, on budget, to quality standards and within agreed scope.
  • Prepare and maintain documentation for reporting, monitoring and evaluation purposes to ensure accessibility of quality information and contribute to the achievement of project outcomes.
  • Communicate with key stakeholders and coordinate working groups, committees and consultations to facilitate exchange of information and support project completion in line with project plans.
  • Source, collate and compile data and information to identify emerging issues and track and report on project progress against established milestones and deliverables.
  • Undertake research and analysis, identifying trends and preparing briefs, to support informed decision-making and planning.
  • Respond to, or coordinate resolution of, enquiries and issues to ensure the provision of accurate information and the timely and effective resolution of issues.

Key challenges:

  • Demonstrating a high level of initiative and proactively supporting business activities whilst balancing competing deadlines in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Maintaining relationships with a range of stakeholders ensuring tact and diplomacy at all times to achieve organisational objectives.

About you:

  • A bachelor's degree in a business related field.
  • Strong analytical skills and time management skills.
  • Excellent teamwork skills and attention to detail.
  • Good interpersonal and professional communication skills.
  • An ability to manage finances/ a financial awareness is deemed desirable.
  • Experience in a government organisation and previous vendor interaction is deemed desirable.

Candidates must be based in the Greater Sydney Area.
