About the role

The role is focused on supporting the products in a customer facing capacity this would cover products for data protection, management, backup, and recovery. This could be via the telephone, email, and remote sessions, which may require careful examination of many infrastructures and other environmental variables, as well as a detailed analysis of log files. This highly technical support role requires deep analytical troubleshooting of complex technical problems. The product can sit on virtualised or cloud platforms, so experience with: VMware ESX(i), Microsoft Hyper-V and Nutanix AHV are required, ideally some public exposure also.

Duties

• Application or Product Support for their core products
• Troubleshooting with customers by phone and email
• Issues could be broadly on the product, underlying infrastructure or database layer

Skills and experience

• Previous experience in an Application, Product or IT support role
• Technical skills in a mix of technologies across VMware ESX(i), Microsoft Hyper-V and Nutanix AHV
• Strong knowledge in SQL/Oracle database and Microsoft Exchange server administration
• Experience with XML, SQL, JSON and development exp - highly regarded
• Excellent troubleshooting skills
• Excellent communication skills - written and verbal
• Bilingual - nice to have
• Australian PR or Citizen
