Senior Manager - Data & Integration - $210,000 - $230,000 + bonus

Reporting to General Manager, Technology Data & Integration you will own and drive the Technology Strategy for Visual Analytics and Operational Reporting and lead the engineering capability within Data & Integration Division.

The role ensures the systems and services within the Data and Integration for Visual Analytics and Operational Reporting are developed and maintained using business and technology management practices. This person will have outstanding business and technology leadership skills and a strong engineering background.

  • Lead a small team of five and an indirect team of 20+ individuals
  • Establish an engineering capability to design, develop and operate robust and innovative solutions in line with the Data & Integration and the business' technology strategy.
  • Establish an environment to attract and retain high calibre engineering talent.
  • Create and implement a comprehensive stakeholder management plan to ensure visual analytics and operational reporting services are successfully delivering value to internal and external customers.
  • Set performance objectives and development plans. Monitor progress against agreed quality and performance criteria.
  • Manage the cost centre from a budget perspective, ensuring appropriate capex recoverability and responsible financial management. Provide input and budgets for long-term business planning.

THE PERSON

  • Experience of leading an engineering capability in a complex fast-paced financial services or regulated environment
  • Previous experience of developing analytics as a service
  • Experience in managing a visual analytics and operational reporting team delivering services enabled experiences to a broader business.
  • Operational Management experience in a financial services business
  • Exhibited a people leadership style in line with business values and high performing team culture
  • Demonstrable experience in building leadership capability, developing talent and succession planning
  • High-level analytical capabilities, applied to complex data and engineering challenges and solutions
  • B.S. and/or M.S. degree in Computer Science or equivalent
  • Useful, but not essential: Experience in the delivery of visual analytics and operational reporting services with TIBCO Spotfire, SAP Business Objects, GCP and google native services such as Looker.

This role will suit someone who is currently managing a team in a financial services environment and looking to step up into a bigger, more challenging role for one of Australia's most recognisable financial services firms.
