Talenza has partnered up with a top-tier bank in Australia that is currently in search of a highly-skilled "Senior Experience/Human-Centered Designer" to collaborate with the internal team on their digital online banking platforms - web, mobile and native.

About the Role
The Experience Design Team (XD) is responsible for the design of all their products and services across our digital online banking platforms - web, mobile and native. The team consists of highly specialised designers, who focus on understanding our customers' needs to help frame the problem space and deliver inclusive solutions that are not only desirable but viable and feasible.

Their mission is to push the experience beyond what's expected by crafting design solutions to help our customers achieve their financial outcomes and measurably move the business forward.

Responsibilities

In your role as Senior Experience Designer, you will be integral in delivering human-centred solutions for their customers across web and native platforms.

  • Drive research strategy and use data enabled insights to identify opportunities across the customer journey and desired outcomes.
  • Collaborating with other members of the digital XD and business teams, help to define the problem-space with consideration for desirability, viability, and feasibility.
  • Use this knowledge to help inform the product and service strategy and roadmap base on customer needs across our digital channels and platforms.
  • Facilitate workshops and co-design sessions to help form a common understanding of the problem-space, support cross-functional collaboration, and drive meaningful ideation to support customer needs.
  • Leverage behavioural design principles to help drive meaningful and long lasting change.
  • Collaborate with other members of the digital XD team to prototype and test solutions with consideration for the design systems across native and web platforms.
  • Validate opportunities to support the business case/s for prioritisation of ideas into the Agile Release Train for delivery.
  • Define metrics and measures of success to help drive continuous improvement and development of our products and services to better support customer outcomes.

Who you are

You're a skilled and experienced practitioner in human-centred design - with a passion for digital and end-to-end experience design.

  • 5+ years of professional experience designing human-centred digital products and services for web and native platforms.
  • You'll also have extensive experience with design research, prototyping and testing design ideas.
  • A strong portfolio that demonstrates your process, principles, research methods, design thinking, storytelling, and delivery of your work.
  • You'll be closely collaborating with your inter-disciplinary colleagues; therefore, you will need to bring exemplary communication skills and a strong ability to build exceptional relationships across all levels of the organisation.
  • Product delivery and developer support experience in an agile environment.
  • You're confident working in an agile environment, are excited by innovation and has a proactive, and have a resilient and patient working style.
  • As natural collaborator and storyteller you will engage and inspire your stakeholders to keep customer needs at the heart of what we do.
  • Have clear and concise written and verbal communication skills, and ability to rationalise design decisions with Design and non-Design stakeholders alike.
  • Experience in financial technology or a similar industry, bonus points for mortgage and home loans subject matter expertise.
