Senior Business Intelligence / BI Developer - Perm / Contract

Talenza are currently engaged to identify a strong BI Developer for a client in Brisbane. You will be someone who has 8+ years of commercial experience working with SQL Server and will be particularly adept across SSIS and SSRS with a particular emphasis on Power BI. Someone who has had previous exposure to Cloud technologies would be particularly suitable for this role as there is a big move towards this and you will be enthusiastic about new technologies and have a passion that shows through around this.

There is an expectation that you will have a strong background in analysis and translating business requirements into technical specifications as this part of the business does not have designated BAs - as such, your communication skills will be at the level where you can converse with all manner of business stakeholders.

Ideally, you will have worked with Confluence and Jira and this environment is known to be one of the fastest paced in Queensland so having worked in a similar environment would certainly help in terms of how quickly you will get up to speed.

Lastly, you will be collaborative; able to see where you can add value outside of your core tasks and willing to help in non core task such as support where needed and supporting junior members in the team. My client is considering day-rate contractors AND permies for this role so please indicate which route you would refer to go down.
