Senior Business Analyst

Our client, the NSW Department of Communities and Justice are seeking a Senior Business Analyst to join the Digital Portfolio Team. Focusing on the Courts, Tribunals and Service Delivery, the successful candidate will be part of the Products and Engagement Team responsible for facilitating product maintenance and enhancements for the core Case Management Systems.

Role Title: Senior Business Analyst

Start Date: ASAP

End Date: 12 month contract with a chance of extension afterwards.

Pay: $746 + Super p.d.

Location: Sydney CBD/WFH Hybrid

Description:

Key responsibilities

• As Product Owner, review and analyse business requirements, services, processes, and information needs to identify and document user stories and acceptance criteria for business solutions and enhancements
• Consult and negotiate with diverse stakeholders including business users, vendors, and external agencies to drive and deliver outcomes
• Scrum Master for all Case Management releases, coordinating and monitoring activity across multiple technical teams, including in-house, vendor and external agencies
• Keeping across changing technologies, business processes and industry best practices.
• Managing deliverables independently against rapidly shifting priorities to respond to internal and external demands.
• Review documentation prepared by other analysts and business users
• Facilitate reviews, scrums, retrospectives and other group meetings to identify areas of improvement

About you:

• 2 years+ experience as Senior Business Analyst.
• 2+ years' experience fulfilling Scrum Master responsibilities
• Strong business analysis skills and experience in detailed analysis and understanding of the functional requirements and business process documentation, including the tracking of functional and process changes.
• Effective communication skills, both written and oral, with a variety of technical and non-technical staff.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently as well as in a team environment and success with meeting deadlines under pressure
• Demonstrated problem solving abilities as well as good negotiation skills and business acumen.
• Working experience in both Waterfall and Agile methodology
• Ability to achieve successful outcomes through collaborative and cooperative means.
• Ability to quickly develop an understanding of the projects, its environments and related issues.
• Demonstrated ability to work within tight project timeframes
