Senior Asset Manager - NSW Government
Location: Parramatta, Sydney, in a Hybrid environment with great WFH flexibility
Rate: $1200 - $1300 per day + Super
Contract Length: 12 months with probability for extension
Note: Must have demonstrated experience in delivery of asset management services, in a highly regulated environment. Preferably with Government experience

We are currently seeking experienced Senior Asset Manager for our NSW Government client who will be responsible for all roads and associated assets and acts as a single point of interface for stakeholders. The role is critical to the management of roads network safety, performance and cost and it leads specialist asset class based resources to ensure these assets deliver on the desired balance of cost, risk and performance outcomes, as well as the policy and framework requirements.

Keys to Role:
Roles will suit an experienced Asset Manager who has -

• Strong understanding of ISO 31000, ISO 55000, ISO 55001, ISO 19650 and other asset management industry best practice, with extensive knowledge of statutory maintenance obligations, including legislation and AS/NZS requirements.
• Extensive experience with delivery of asset management services in highly outsourced environments.
• Commercial acumen and strong leadership, with proven ability to develop and maintain internal and external relationships.
• Extensive experience in Asset Management in highly regulated and preferably High Reliability Operations environments.
• Experienced in Tech and hands on experience with JIRA

Key accountabilities:

• Develop, implement and manage a system for asset management that meets the requirements of relevant policies and is suitable for adoption by all roads asset management functions.
• Interpret organizational and road operations objectives and establish asset management objectives and associated measures for all relevant asset classes to inform decision-making and ensure consistency across the business.
• Lead a team and work with suppliers and broader internal stakeholders to establish an asset management plan across all asset classes that delivers the desired balance of cost, risk and performance for stakeholders.
• Establish and manage a performance monitoring and evaluation approach, including identification and definition of performance measures and an audit program, to monitor and maintain asset performance and conformance to the asset management system and develop and acquit the actions necessary to address non conformances and meet regulatory compliance obligations.
• Establish and implement robust portfolio, program and approaches and ensure that staff and suppliers conform to these approaches to ensure consistency across the business.
• Lead and manage all asset class managers and engineers to ensure they meet TfNSW objectives
• Provide input to and participate in business unit strategy development and work and financial planning.
• Build and maintain collaborative relationships with TfNSW, Sydney Roads Asset Performance Contract and all other Delivery Partners in TfNSW.
• Will be leading a team of engineers, so need strong leadership skills
• Involved in strategic planning

• Managing a diverse asset portfolio across multiple asset classes.
• Establishing and managing relationships with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders given the complexities of these relationships and differing priorities and expectations.
