Project Support/Governance

Our client, the NSW Department of Education are seeking a Project Support/Governance Officer to work within the Transformation Directorate. In this role you will provide a range of project and administrative support with an emphasis on contributing to the development and implementation of communication strategies, tools and activities to promote work done to key stakeholders. You will also support the executive in the effective communication with staff, external stakeholders and partners regarding the delivery of key projects.

Role Title: Project Support/Governance Officer

Start Date: ASAP

End Date: 6 month contract with a chance of extension afterwards.

Pay: $750 + Super p.d.

Location: Parramatta/WFH Hybrid

Description:

Key responsibilities

• Manage Program governance meetings, including PowerPoint development and action item control.
• Diary/meeting management.
• Contribute to the development and implementation of a range of communication strategies, tools and initiatives to promote the work of the Directorate with its key stakeholders and ensure effective engagement.
• Provide a range of project and administrative support, including preparation of reports and briefs, maintaining project documentation, implementing and monitoring project plans and reporting on status of key stages to be delivered to ensure project outcomes are achieved on time and within budget.
• Provide timely advice and support to team members on issues relating to the delivery of the program.
• Monitor and responded quickly to requests for information.
• Communicate with key stakeholders and coordinate working groups, committees and consultations to facilitate exchange of information and support project completion in line with project plans.
• Work collaboratively exchanging information to support the team to achieve objectives and work outcomes.
• Assist with the planning and organisation of workshops and events.
• Delivering a range of projects and services within tight deadlines, limited resources and the need to manage competing priorities.
• Planning and prioritising work in a high volume environment with competing priorities.

About you:

• Experience in a Government role is deemed desirable.
• 5 + years of experience in a similar role is required.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Can work independently to a high level but also will collaborate well with others to achieve desired outcomes.
