Project Manager: Service Digitisation - NSW Government
Location: Parramatta, Sydney, with great WFH flexibility: hybrid model
Rate: $1000 per day + Super
Contract Length: 12 months with probable extension
Note: Must have 7+ years experience in Transformational Project Management preferably in the Government/Public sector.

We are currently seeking an experienced Project Manager: Service Digitisation for our NSW Government client who will be responsible for leading and overseeing all aspects of project development and implementation across a portfolio of complex projects, including preparing project plans, establishing appropriate governance, identifying, allocating and managing resources, and meeting reporting requirements, to ensure project outcomes are achieved on time, on budget, to quality standards and in line with the Agency project management methodological phases of the project lifecycle using agile principles.

As such you will be an experienced project manager who is comfortable dealing with multiple stakeholders from all levels of the organisation, whilst utilising meticulous project planning and time management. Your excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to develop and maintain realistic project plans to deliver successful results to the business are crucial.

Preferable to have experience working in Government Transformation programs.

  • 7+ years project management experience
  • Delivered successful projects using Agile project management frameworks and methodologies
  • Experience in Service Digitisation and Modernisation programs

Program/project:
The Service Experience function is responsible for developing and embedding customer experience capability to transform how we deliver services to our customers: students, parents and carers, teachers, principals, as well as administrative and corporate staff.


Responsibilities:

  • Manage and support the planning and delivery of large program streams and/or projects.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders throughout the program / project life cycle with the aim of building relationships, ensuring efficiencies, and delivering project outcomes.
  • Provide support to stakeholders on emerging project issues and contribute to recommendations to support project delivery.
  • Using sound end-to-end project management methodologies

    Desired Experience/Skills:
  • Experience delivering dynamic and complex projects with numerous and varying levels of stakeholders.
  • Experience with application and systems development and customisation.
  • Understanding of human-centred design methodologies.
  • Experience working with large transformation projects.
  • Knowledge and extensive practical experience of Agile project management methodologies
  • Experience using JIRA to track projects
