Project Manager: HR Systems - NSW Government
Location: Parramatta, Sydney, with great WFH flexibility
Rate: $1000 per day + Super
Contract Length: 3mth initially with likely extension and long term role in well funded program of work.
Note: Must have delivery, PMO and hopefully HR systems experience.

We are currently seeking an experienced Project Manager in HR Systems for our NSW Government client who will be responsible for developing and managing a structured program plan for the next 6 months including tracking progress of activities and dependencies like Governance, setting up PMO, Procurement and a transformational HR system.

Keys to Role:
Role will suit an experienced business PM with experience in large scale program delivery and who is resourceful, strategic and flexible across a range of activites. More than anything the right positive attitude and organisational skills will serve you well in this small but growing team.
This role is not a traditional Project Manager but a transformational leader who is comfortable in ambiguity and can handle tasks accross a range of disciplines including service delivery, procurement, governance, PMO and a support role to the Director of the Program.

Requied Experience:
* At least 5 years' experience in a project management and delivery environment
* Experience working in or leading a PMO
* Experience working in the delivery of complex programs
* Experience in technology implementation programs ideally with HR systems
* Experience in the delivery of HR projects

Program:
* This program is one of the largest change programs within the Department. It aims to deliver contemporary talent management practices and shift how the department manages its workforce, enabled by a best in class Human Capital Management solution, supporting leaders to effectively enable their people management responsibilities.
* The program is currently ramping up in the mobilisation phase to prepare for the program delivery and implementation.

Responsibilities
* Developing and managing a structured program plan for the next 6 months including tracking progress of activities and dependencies
* Establishing and managing governance processes including internal and external program status reporting and steering committee meetings
* Coordinating activities, tasks and dependencies across multiple vendors, internal teams and external agencies
* Managing program financials and contracts including reviewing monthly actuals vs forecast and managing invoice payments
* Managing procurement activities including developing scopes of work and driving the end-to-end process in conjunction with the procurement team
* Establishing new program roles including developing role descriptions and managing recruitment processes
* Setting up program documentation management structures
* Supporting the delivery of project activities as required
