Principal Cloud Consultant - AWS

Talenza are currently assisting a growing Cloud Consultancy to find a new Principal Cloud Consultant to lead their AWS and DevOps practice in Sydney.

About the role

As a Cloud and DevOps evangelist you will use your in-depth technical knowledge of AWS cloud and DevOps tools to successfully champion the AWS practice. The role will combine pre-sales, architecture and people leadership to drive sales and projects within this space. You will work with a range of enterprise and SMB's to design best-in-breed solutions.

Key responsibilities include;

• Develop practice strategies to allow effective growth and strategic direction
  
• Design high level architecture plans in accordance to the clients needs - predominantly AWS solutions across IaaS, PaaS and SaaS; EC2, S3, Elastic Beanstalk, VPN, VPC, RedShift, DynamoDB.
  
• Engage with pre-sales activities
  
• Act as a technical leader for the AWS professional services team
  
  About you
  
  As a Principal Cloud Consultant you will have in-depth experience with designing technical solutions covering a range of technologies. You will have worked in a Pre-sales solution architecture position before. Necessities for this position are;
  
• 5 + years working in a technical consulting/ pre-sales position
  
• Hands on experience Architecting AWS solutions across IaaS, PaaS and SaaS.
  
• Hands on experience with config management tools; Jenkins, Ansible, Puppet.
  
• Experience using application containers tools; Kubernetes and Docker
  
• Technical background with on-prem infrastructure; Linux (RHEL, CentOS, Ubuntu) and Windows servers, storage, networking protocols and databases.
  
• Experience leading small teams.
