Role: Principal Business Analyst
Daily Rate: $800 + Super
Length: 6 months
Location: Haymarlet

The Role

As Principal Business Analyst, you will beresponsible for critically reviewing and analysing end-to-end business processes and requirements from within and across agencies and managing the strategic analysis of highly complex and integrated projects in order to deliver optimal customer experience.

Key accountabilities

  • Lead setting priorities for change initiatives of high complexity, taking responsibility for investigation andimplementation of changes to program scope to ensure they meet the direction of the business and optimise business performance
  • Manage the analysis and dissemination of complex interface technical information and business rules across teams, acting as the conduit between design, engineering and other specialist resources, to enable informed business decisions and service level improvements
  • Review project methodologies in an agile/technological environment to facilitate improvements in internal processes and alignment with external agencies to facilitate the requirements of business process and reviews, both functional and technical
  • Build strategic relationships and work with all internal and external stakeholders to define business needs, user stories and priorities with a comprehensive analysis of alternate solutions using best practice methodologies to deliver products and services with the maximum customer benefit and to required standards
  • Identify and document business processes, business and functional requirements to align user stories and case scenarios, comparing the best processes or delivery methods, including measuring and evaluating outcomes
  • Implement a structured resource planning framework in accordance with approved standards to improve efficiency, effectiveness and usability of systems
  • Analyse customer feedback and insights in conjunction with specialists and develop comprehensive analytics to create viable recommendations for service improvements that align with business strategy and customer needs
  • Ensure comprehensive documentation is produced such as business and functional requirements, technical/interface designs, business process models, user stories/requirements and user case scenarios to industry guidelines as appropriate for the business needs.

Key challenges

  • Ensuring the delivery of change and implementation plans and business improvements, in a high�volume working environment with competing priorities, to ensure timeframes are met
  • Establishing relationships with internal and external stakeholders to develop trust and confidence where user needs may be in conflict
  • Ensuring the outcomes are aligned with agency vision and business strategy by contributing to the link between current and future business models and delivering to the business architecture given competing priorities and significant change to achieve corporate and business objectives.
