Talenza have partnered exclusively with Australasia's largest equity-based insurance broker on the search and selection of an Information Security and Application Manager Manager.

This is a newly created role for a business who are uplifting their Information Security capability. This role is their first dedicated information security role reporting directly into CIO so it's a great opportunity for someone to make an impact.

The Information Security and Application Manager would lead this organisations strategy and operations for the protection of the enterprises information assets and manage relevant security programs of work. This role would be responsible for all communications, physical, applications and infrastructure security. This includes group and subsidiaries policies and procedures. This role will be responsible for the physical and cyber security program of work ensuring our application and data is fully protected and maintained to the highest standard. The role will develop and deliver the necessary strategies across our Group and partner networks to ensure cyber security is maintained. Working closely with the service providers and senior executives across the Group and it's partners. The role will ensure compliance and adherence to the agreed policies and standards and will also lead the Cyber Security Risk committee.

The Responsibilities.

  • Be responsible for and manage the information security agenda and posture across AUB Group and its relevant subsidiaries.
  • Direct and approve changes to the design of security systems
  • Work with the team to ensure that disaster recovery and business continuity plans are in place and tested
  • Review, craft and approve security policies, controls and cyber incident response planning
  • Approve identity and access policies
  • Review investigations after breaches or incidents, including impact analysis and recommendations for avoiding similar vulnerabilities

  • Oversee identity and access management
  • Ensure cyber security policies and procedures are communicated to all personnel and that compliance is enforced
  • Direct all contractors and vendors involved in IT security
  • Proactively communicate best practices and risks to all parts of the business, outside IT
  • Work closely with various teams to ensure application systems used support the business requirements of the group.
  • Ensure all projects meet objectives.
  • Develop team processes that promote efficiency and communications excellence.

The Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in security engineering and design.
  • Technical expertise in AWS / Azure security stack
  • Technical expertise in AWS security stack
  • Very strong understanding of Windows administration including; Active Directory, Group Policy, Windows Security and Networking.
  • Strong understanding of Office 365 Administration including SharePoint.
  • Strong understanding of virtualisation platforms such as VMware, Hyper-V and XenServer.
  • Comprehensive knowledge with Citrix Systems including Netscalers, StoreFront, Provisioning Services and XenApp/XenDesktop.
  • Sound understanding of network security and firewalls. Best practice and industry standards.
