About the client:

Our EdTech client has a SaaS-based product based on data-driven insights and a strong culture of feedback.
They are a high-growth, fast-paced organisation trusted by over 15,000 educators across
Australia.

Who are they looking for?

They are looking for a Head of Engineering to take ownership of and responsibility for the platform
and data that sits at the heart of the business. You will own the technical architecture but spend
a healthy proportion of your time writing and reviewing code. You will also be asked to design
and build an internal, distributed engineering team and take responsibility for the team and their
performance as the existing digital agency partner gradually hands over. You will be comfortable
working with very large and complex data sets. You will be in a position to fundamentally define
the technical direction of the business at a critical time in its growth. You want to make a
difference and work on a platform helping improve the lives and education of school students
nationwide and around the world.

Roles and Responsibilities:

They have recently re-platformed our core product, built to scale and to impact the lives of millions
of students and educators worldwide.

You will:

● Build and manage a new internal team of engineers
● Own their technology and define its future alongside the Product team
● Work on technical architecture and feature development
● Help stabilise the existing platform, building out improved testing and monitoring
infrastructure and developer tooling
