Our NSW Government client is after a Digital Business Analyst to deliver human-centred and production ready software. The role involves interacting heavily with internal and external stakeholders along with the wider team. There will be a heavy BAU component to this role of digitising forms and transitioning to an online portal to support efforts to improve outcomes for NSW residents.

ROLE: Digital Business Analyst
Start Date : ASAP
End Date : 30/06/2022, with a high chance of extending
Pay rate : $900 p/d plus Super
Note: Role is based at Eveleigh & Parramatta offices in Sydney, NSW, with great flexibility for WFH.

Keys to Role:
The successful candidate must have experience in website or portal UI & UX along with experience in using APIs.

Key tasks and accountabilities:

- Requirement gathering
- Facilitating design workshops
- Creating requirement documentation
- Take care of user stories / epics / features, daily stand ups, sprints and all relevant Agile ceremonies.
- Elicit, validate and document business requirements to support measurement, analysis and decision making
- Model current and future business processes and identify opportunities for process improvements, efficiencies and change impacts
- Pro-active identification of risks, issues and benefits of existing and proposed solutions and their associated business impacts
- Deliver ad hoc business analysis and strategy development exercises as directed
- Lead the development and preparation of materials for Management Team and prepare draft documents, investment management artefacts, briefing notes, proposals, presentations, etc. to inform and support decision making
- Writing BRD's, functional specifications and other business/process documentation
- Work closely with developers to help them understand requirements and convert business requirements to technical tasks.
- Running workshops and engaging senior stakeholders within Department

SKILLS - MANDATORY:
- Agile and Scrum experience
- Strong technical background
- Experience with APIs, UI and UX
- Delivery of Agile requirements / processes / ceremonies
- Strong in Jira, Confluence

COMPETENCIES:
- Understanding of enterprise IT environments and integrated systems.
- Ability to build rapport with teams for efficient and timely resolution
- Adaptive and attention to detail
- Experience in understanding complex business rules and policies in an integrated environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

To Note:
This role has recently opened up again and a quick start for the candidate is desired.
Previous NSW Government experience will be held in high regard.
The candidate must be based in Sydney.
