The Role

  • Problem and Incident Management - the resolution, (both reactive and proactive) of problems throughout the IT systems lifecycle. The processing and co-ordination of appropriate and timely responses to incident reports, including channelling requests for help to the appropriate functions and vendors for resolution, monitoring resolution activity, keeping clients appraised of progress towards service restoration.
  • Initiates and monitors actions to investigate and resolve problems in systems, processes and services. Determines problem fixes/remedies. Assists with the implementation of agreed remedies and preventative measures. Ensures that such problems are fully documented within the relevant reporting system(s). Coordinates the implementation of agreed remedies and preventative measures. Analyses patterns and trends.
  • Prioritises and diagnoses incidents according to agreed procedures. Investigates causes of incidents and seeks resolution. Escalates unresolved incidents. Facilitates recovery, following resolution of incidents. Documents and closes resolved incidents according to agreed procedures.
  • Analyses causes of incidents and informs service owners in order to minimise probability of recurrence and contribute to service improvement. Analyses metrics and reports on performance of incident management process.
  • Carries out agreed applications maintenance tasks.
  • Liaises with business and IT partners on release scheduling and communication of progress. Conducts post release reviews. Ensures release processes and procedures are applied and that releases can be rolled back as needed.
  • Suggests improvement to organisational procedures governing change management
  • Assesses, analyses, develops, documents and implements changes based on requests for change.
  • Management of onboarding and offboarding of staff, new brokers and Broker staff
  • Co-ordination of provisioning desktop computing hardware, software applications, mobility devices and numerous other technology solutions

You

  • Tech savvy with working knowledge of office automation products, databases and remote control
  • Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Window products.
  • Good understanding of computer systems, desktop computing hardware, software applications, mobility devices and numerous other technology solutions
  • Strong knowledge of Power BI and Tableau
  • Good knowledge of Information Security Awareness
  • Experience in business process design and re-engineering and workflow analysis
