Our client the NSW Department of Education are seeking a capable Customer Communications Officer to work within the newly-formed Service Experience unit. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and implementing a range of high quality and standardised communications.

Role Title: Customer Communications Officer

Start Date: ASAP

End Date: 8 months - with a chance of extension

Pay: $500 - $600 +Super p.d.

Location: Parramatta /WFH Hybrid

Description

Key accountabilities:

  • Develop and implement communication strategies and plans to support schools and corporate audiences.
  • Draft and publish content for a range of channels, including web, social media and print.
  • Work with subject matter experts to draft scripts for videos and podcasts.
  • Research and evaluate new strategies and current best practices in communication and identify and recommend the application of new approaches and techniques to support innovation.
  • Implement communication policies, processes and guidelines ensuring alignment to organisational requirements and standards to drive high quality customer-centred and consistent communication outcomes.
  • Prepare regular reporting on all communications projects to analyse the success of communication initiatives and identify opportunities for continuous improvement and learning to positively impact business outcomes.

Key challenges:

  • Maintaining awareness of contemporary approaches to self-service communications and implementing new methods and tools to drive customer engagement.
  • Managing multiple projects and competing deadlines within agreed time, cost and quality requirements and stakeholder expectations.
  • Providing high levels of customer service while balancing competing organisational priorities to achieve customer satisfaction outcomes.

About you:

  • Demonstrated experience developing and implementing communication strategies across a range of channels including web, digital and social.
  • Experience working with a range of relevant technology including content management systems, adobe, social media and other relevant areas.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • An ability to be adaptable and communicate any issues that arise.
  • Government experience is high valued.

Candidates must be based in The Greater Sydney Area.
