Talenza have been retained to source a Group CTO for one of the most exciting, progressive digital marketplaces to be grown out of Australia. Our client has established a number of marketplaces where they have taken a firm grip on the market and also paving the way for further disruption.

(Sydney Based role - client willing to pay for relocation)

This is a newly created role that will sit across all the marketplaces, to date the Head of Engineering's and Technical Leads have led the development and maintenance of the sites but it has come evident that the business now needs a Group CTO to align business & technology strategy.

As the Group CTO you will report direct to the CEO and form a newly aligned SLT that sit across all things business, sales, product, technology & strategy. You will be tasked with developing a technology strategy and roadmap that aligns with the business growth plans and future proofs.

The ideal candidate would have experience working in a marketplace environment or similar digital environment that operates 24/7 and has a high customer base with high traffic. This is so you understand the robust nature of whats needed in such businesses and that long outages or delay in product launches is just not the norm.

We want a CTO who can work at speed, understands the nature of a dynamic, fast moving digital business.

To caveat this, the Group CTO will also need to communicate in confidence experience around successful transformations in regards to integrating businesses, cultures/ teams etc. Over time, the need will arise to cross sell and integrate the marketplaces...so how do they do this? Whats the technology roadmap to do this? How do you merge cultures to work together??

Some simple questions with complex executions!

Last point...need to have ran teams of minimum 40/50+ FTE's or more.
