Role: Change Manager
Client: NSW Department of Planning, Industry, and Environment
Daily Rate: $1000 plus Super
Duration: Until May 1st 2022
Location: Fully Remote

The Role:

Starting ASAP, NSW DPIE - Water is looking for a Change Manager to join the Special Projects Taskforce - Metering and Measurement Reform on a fully remote working basis. As the Change Manager, you day to day duties will include:

  • Creating a change management plan to support transition of the Metering and Measurement Reform to cross agency business areas responsible for ongoing implementation.
  • Working collaboratively with the Director Special Projects Taskforce, and the managers to facilitate and implement change initiatives identified within the change management plan.
  • Consulting and coaching project teams on change management.
  • Developing change management processes and tools to support the integration and engagement with change management principles.
  • Working collaboratively with the Director Special Projects Taskforce, and the managers to embed these principles.
  • Working with project team to support the design, development, delivery and management of communications relevant to change initiatives.
  • Working with project team to support the design, development, delivery and management of training relevant to change initiatives.
  • Understanding organisational issues and challenges and identify, analyse and prepare risk mitigation tactics, and identify and manage anticipated resistance to change.

Technical Skills Required:

  • Mandatory:
    • Experience and knowledge of change management principles, methodologies and tools.
    • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
    • Ability to clearly articulate messages to a variety of audiences.
    • Ability to establish and maintain strong relationships.
    • Ability to influence others and move toward a common vision or goal.
  • Preferred:
    • Familiarity with project management approaches, tools and phases of the project lifecycle.

Professional and Educational Experience:

  • Minimum 4 years' experience in Change management or closely related areas.
  • Preferred/desired:
    • Undergraduate qualifications in business management, behavioural sciences or related fields.
    • Change management certification.
