Our client is a household name who have an immediate need for a Business Transformation Manager who will partner with the business to implement business strategy which will include a range activities including organisational design activities, program management, driving execution of strategy. The role will be a true consulting type role to drive problem solving duties and provide oversight and create an operating rhythm that they can hold a senior stakeholder accountable for and have the gravitas to hold their own with people who are SME's.

It would be highly advantageous for the individual to have knowledge of investment management.

Role responsibilities

  • Identify, quantify and support delivery of the financial and non-financial benefits of transformation initiatives
  • Assess the business using analytical tools and techniques
  • Engage with stakeholders, translating strategic goals into effective design principles and future states
  • Identify, assign, and implement decision making authority and responsibility to both individuals (decision rights) and groups (governance)
  • Develop and implement an effective change plan to ensure sustainable outcomes
  • Analyse data, applying critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Facilitate structured problem solving workshops with stakeholders at all levels of the enterprise
  • 'Tell the story' in a structured, data-driven, compelling and engaging way to enable fast and high-quality decisions
  • Deploy contemporary project management skills, including strong planning with an ability to prioritise work to meet deadlines, manage dependencies, assumptions, risks and issues and instil stakeholder confidence

Competencies and experience needed

  • Analytical and problem solving - ability to analyse, interpret and solve complex issues, making sense of ambiguous and complex information
  • Experience in full operating model design, including process, technology, data and people capabilities, organisation structure, roles and responsibilities, accountabilities, etc.
  • Financial modelling and valuations
  • Execution and project management - the ability to get things done on time and in accordance with requirements through effective planning, coordination, implementation and engagement with stakeholders.
  • Strong interpersonal skills - situational awareness and emotional intelligence with a natural ability to appropriately adapt their personal and leadership styles through this to maximum influence of situations
  • Commercial acumen - ability to demonstrate an in-depth understanding of key drivers of business performance and valuation levers, questions the status quo.
  • Focus on the things that matter - effective prioritisation of multiple tasks and management of stakeholder expectations.
  • Communication - ability to clearly and effectively communicate, excellent active listening skills.
