Business Analyst - Merchant Payments (Banking)

Talenza have been engaged by one of Australia's leading banks to source a strong Business Analyst for a strategic transformation that will extend over the next 3 years. Ideally a Business Analyst with 6+ years' experience who is keen enter a career working on exciting Merchant Payment projects.

About the role

The successful candidate will be leading the achievement of the bank's strategy by working with internal stakeholders, 3rd party vendors, Product and Operations stakeholders to elicit, analyse, communicate and validate requirements for changes to business processes, policies, information and systems to support initiatives.

Who You Are & Knowledge Required:

• 2+ years of business process improvement/re-engineering, data analysis, system functional / non-functional analysis experience and business case preparation experience. For example:
• • Business Analyst in major end-to-end business process re-engineering or business transformation initiatives;
  • Business Analyst in major information technology delivery projects ensuring solution enables business processes to deliver the desired business outcomes and value.

• Facilitation of business solution workshops involving participants from senior management to business users.

• Financial industry experience, product development and rollout to impacted teams
• Experience working with HCD teams and defining requirements
• Tertiary qualifications or equivalent experience desirable
• Desired business and/or technology tertiary qualifications;
• Desired Lean Six Sigma - Green belt certification or equivalent;
• A strong understanding of technology and business systems strategically and operationally;
• Knowledge of project management disciplines and financial services; and
• Advanced excel and data analysis knowledge
• Knowledge of reporting applications eg Tableau (preferable), databases and data warehouse
• Ability to analyse, interpret and ensure the quality and accuracy of data, understand reporting design/processes, develop and manage information and present it in ways to help stakeholders make better decisions
• Understand IT solutioning processes from data requirements/sourcing, technical solutioning, costing, testing then through to implementation
• Merchant Acquiring (desirable but not essential)
• Payments - transaction processing - (desirable but not essential)
• Jira and Confluence
